Metallic Laminated Paper

Metallic paper is a specialty paperboard substrate coated with a vacuum-deposited aluminum layer, engineered primarily for decorative enhancement while delivering functional barrier performance. Available in matte and gloss finish configurations with optional smooth or textured surface profiles, metallic paper provides distinctive visual appeal through its characteristic reflective properties. Beyond aesthetic value, the aluminum metallization layer delivers effective light reflection and moisture barrier characteristics, making this substrate specification ideal for pharmaceutical products and other light-sensitive or moisture-sensitive applications. Due to the substrate’s inherent visual impact, printing is typically minimal; however, the material is compatible with offset lithography followed by UV curing processes to ensure proper ink adhesion, surface integrity, and prevention of ink migration or smudging during handling and distribution.
